Okay, well, this is a topic that we could talk about for quite some time, and the best answer is also the worst answer.
The cost of video really just depends. Some freelancers and solopreneurs can make some really nice videos for $2,000 to $3,000. Then there's production on commercials that you might see during the Stanley Cup finals or the Super Bowl. Those could cost six to seven figures or a whole lot more. Crimson Filmworks happens to be sort of in between those two.
We offer some turnkey video products that we do on-site that start at only $3,500. And then we have other films that can easily cost $15,000 or more. The most important thing to consider when you're planning a video is what is the value of doing video? And what is the potential return on your investment?
If the right person sees the video that we create for you and then hires you or buys your product, what would that be worth? What could that be worth? What if you don't do video at all? Will it negatively impact your goals?
With these things in mind, we encourage our potential clients to think through what their budget range might be in order to get the results that they're hoping this video or video series can help achieve.
Our goal isn't to gouge you when you share your budget range with us. It helps inform us with where you're at in this whole process. And it also gives us an idea of how we can best help you, which sometimes means introducing you to another video company that might be more friendly toward your budget.
Our quick-launch video process starts with a discovery call and then we'll have a workshop with you and the stakeholders of that project. We'll deliver a blueprint of the video along with the proposal. You'll sign the proposal, we'll have a kickoff call, and then we start production.
When you work with Crimson Filmworks, you won't need any revisions. We're that confident in our skills...
Okay, that's not entirely true. We are confident in our skills, but you will get revisions if needed.
We usually include up to two revisions in our standard contract, which is usually more than enough because of the planning that we'll do with you ahead of time.
But if for whatever reason you want more revisions than what we talk about, we're happy to do them and we'll give you the cost for revisions ahead of time so that there's no surprises.
Your video will totally go viral, guaranteed or your money back. Okay, that's a big lie. If you're looking to create a viral video, there is no secret formula, but what we do recommend is to create something that can help solve your client's biggest problem. If a million people see your video and they're not your ideal clients, what is the point? But if 10, 100, or even 1,000 of your ideal clients see your video and are moved by it, we think that that's gonna help your business a lot more than having your video go viral.
After years of being in business, you can imagine that we've done a lot of different kinds of videos, but what we found throughout all of that time is that our passion and what we're pretty good at is brand storytelling.
Getting it to the soul of a brand to help people know what the brand is all about. It's a differentiator for a brand to have a piece that is intended to connect with their ideal audience. A good brand story sells on behalf of a business without coming across as salesy at all.
In addition to brand stories, we can also create commercials for social media, explainer videos to help people understand how and what you do.
We create culture videos for recruiting and retention, and we also make out-take reels, to get people to laugh.
A better question is how quickly can you get started?
Kidding, sort of. Honestly, our clients tend to be the ones that slow projects down, only because they have real jobs that they have to maintain while this video production is happening, hopefully in the background.
And our goal is to try to make this process as quick and efficient as possible so that you can get back to doing what you do best as soon as possible.
Once we have an approved scope of work and assigned contract from you, we hop on a kickoff call to answer any questions and then schedule production dates.
But because we typically have a full schedule of work booked in advance, it's great to figure out how we can work together to get your story told on your timeline.
From the kickoff call to the delivery of the edits, our projects take about eight to ten weeks. If you have a special situation where you need something, the week of or even the day of, we have plenty of experience creating same-day edits or same-week edits.
We'll create deadlines for our team and for yours. And we've got a pretty solid track record for delivering on time.
Usually where projects get hung up is when our clients are trying to collect feedback from everyone on their team and their mothers. Just kidding. But seriously, that's usually where you wanna make sure that you're only including people who need to speak into a project's feedback and make sure you're communicating their deadlines to give feedback so the project doesn't get delayed on account of them. 'Cause that's awkward.
The truth is, I have no idea. The best way to figure out is to book a discovery call with us so that you can tell us more about your project and your video needs. In the meantime, you can go to the portfolio section on our website to see if there's anything similar that we've done that you're looking for. Chances are we can help you or we can at least introduce you to another production company that you want.
