What is included in a basic wedding package?
Our base cinematic wedding package includes one shooter who captures the highlights of the day from the morning preparations, the ceremony, and the (in)formal picture time. We like to make sure we're telling the story of the beginning of your marriage, which means we don't like to focus solely on the ceremony, but take into account the anticipation, the excitement, and the rush of all that happens prior to and directly after the ceremony as well. We then edit the footage into a 3 to 5 minute high definition film which is delivered to you in a digital file as well as on a custom packaged DVD.
What goes into a wedding video that makes it cost so much?
We don't like to skimp on the time it takes to tell your story right. Video production takes a lot of time. Just like your wedding needed preparation, so too does your video. We spend time preparing and organizing based on you and your individual personality and story to make sure we shoot the right content in the first place. In addition to being there from the early morning of your big day until the cameras stop rolling, we also spend hours in the editing suite putting together, color correcting, and tweaking your story until we feel it is ready for your viewing pleasure.
Not only does it take time, but it takes the right equipment to capture your day properly. Video equipment gets expensive. From cameras to lenses, to microphones, to support gear, recorders and the software to piece it all together, it adds up. As much as we'd like it, the camera manufacturers aren't just throwing gear at us to use for free. For those interested, we use full high-definition cinema quality Canon DSLRs and professional quality lenses.
Even with the best equipment, if you don't know how to use it, you're not going to get a good end result. We've spent countless hours learning to properly use the equipment we have in our arsenal so you can feel confident in the person behind the gear. Things like apature, F-Stop, ISO, shutter speed, frame rate, and audio-level are terms that might sound foreign to you, but it's part of our native language.
Maybe your cousin's best friend has a cool camera and a cracked version of Adobe Premiere, but his offer to do it for three hundred bucks will probably end up with you regretting that you paid him anything at all.
Do you offer additional shooters for wider coverage?
Yes we do. With a larger crew we are able to capture your entire ceremony from start to finish as well as ensure that we have adequate time to capture more of the preparation from both the bride and her groom.
Can you make us a slide show or a video for our reception?
We don't build slide-shows, but we do offer a great engagement or wedding announcement video package that you can play at your reception or send to your invitees. If you're already buying a wedding package, the engagement video costs only $400.
Can I get a start-to-finish video of our ceremony?
When shooting a wedding, we like to move around a lot. We want to get different shots and angles, which means we're rarely in one place for anything longer than a few seconds. We don't just set up a camera and hit record, since that would be boring and you're unlikely to watch it more than once anyway. However, if you are really interested in getting the full ceremony we can rent an extra un-manned camera that we would setup to capture everything so we can put the entire ceremony together with cuts of the different angles captured elsewhere. This is not normally included in our packages, but can be added on for a fee if requested as long as the venue can support it.
